You’re no tourist but that doesn’t mean you can't be guided. Our expertly crafted day tour gives you access to Cape Town’s natural highlights without the crowds, or the traffic. A Marine Biologist and qualified Tour Guide will accompany you along the way, from secluded rock pools to panoramic vistas. There’s really nothing else like it.
Life is about experiences. Make your Cape Town experience unique by getting in touch with the natural beauty of the Mother City’s wilderness.
Guided by a local marine biologist you’ll learn to see the small stuff, not sweat it. Your day tour will take you to the regular spots, plus a few places out of the ordinary.
RockHopper Tours shows you the Cape through the eyes of a biologist.
Help us decongest our City. Meet us at 7am at The Chardonnay deli and we'll have you back in time to enjoy the sunset from anywhere in Cape Town. You'll be against the traffic both ways.

WHY? If you feel like walking off the beaten track and discovering great things, then join Justin’s Cape Peninsula adventure! WHAT? A seven hour nature experience full of wildlife surprises and absolutely stunning views around the (almost) most southern part of the African continent. Go where no tourist has gone before and discover tidal pools with limpets, mussels, whelks & (cushion)starfish. See the most beautiful colored anemones and get hypnotized by the kelp that’s just moving back and forth with the currants while having some Rooibos tea and rusks. WHO? Justin is such an easy going guy, super enthusiastic, has a huge amount of knowledge and is a really good storyteller without becoming too scientific. He’s really your guy to spend time with at the Cape Peninsula. Justin, thank you so much for this awesome day. My love for Mother Nature has only grown even more!
This was an exceptional tour. Justin is an excellent and interesting communicator and paced the tour just right. We saw seals, ostriches, elands, baboons and penguins while out & about…and it was so much more interesting than if we had tried to just visit the Cape Peninsula on our own. Justin also has excellent tastes in restaurants. :-). We met at a charming cafe at 7 am and then had lunch at a fantastic restaurant while on our tour. Highly recommend!
“I’ve spent a lot of years in Cape Town and have visited parts of the Cape peninsula before, but during my tour with RockHopper Tours, I discovered new spots along the coast I didn’t even know were there! We ended up in several stunning coastal locations without any other people around, looking for life in the rockpools, snorkeling, spotting larger marine life out to sea..”
