“Justin is made for this experience”
Amandine

It seems that Justin is made for this experience.

He’s a great guide and manages to communicate his passion to everyone, with little anecdotes on top of that.

It was a fantastic day and we saw whales, ostriches, and baboons. Even a seal eating a small shark!

“This was an exceptional tour”
Lisa

This was an exceptional tour. Justin is an excellent and interesting communicator and paced the tour just right.

We saw seals, ostriches, elands, baboons and penguins while out & about…and it was so much more interesting than if we had tried to just visit the Cape Peninsula on our own.

Justin also has excellent tastes in restaurants. :-). We met at a charming cafe at 7 am and then had lunch at a fantastic restaurant while on our tour. Highly recommend!

“Justin is the Real Deal”
Matthew

Justin is the real deal, and this experience is spectacular.

We learned so much and witnessed so many incredible places, just in one day, that we had to go home and sit quietly with a drink afterward to process it all. Justin is a practiced educator and storyteller, in addition to being an expert on marine biology and a host of other topics. If you want to know more about the Cape peninsula, this is a must-do experience.

“We noticed the small things in beautiful places away from all the tourists”
Shuinn
Justin is so knowledgeable and friendly.
He patiently answered all our questions, even the ones that had nothing to do with marine biology (And we had a LOT if questions)! I know there are so many ways to explore the peninsula but if you are able to, I would highly recommend a tour with Justin.
He helped us notice the small things and took us to beautiful places away from all the tourists. And we get to eat delicious healthy food along the way! This was a very thoughtful and fun trip and I’m really happy we did it!

When is the best time of the day?

Undoubtedly early, don't let the crowds cramp your day!

What time do I need to be there?

Please plan to arrive at 7am.
**The group does not wait for latecomers. We do not offer refunds for missed trips.**

What happens if we are late?

We do not offer refunds for anyone who misses the vehicle but will do our best to accommodate you on any upcoming trips that you may be available for. Please give us a call or send a whatsapp message and we'll look for a second pickup location that works for you.

How long is the trip?

The trip takes 8 - 9 hours.

What is provided?

We provide a comfortable passenger eco-vehicle with driver and biologist guide for the day.

Enjoy Cape Town's best rooibos tea and rusk tasting on the day's best and most secluded beach.

We'll bring some exploration gear such as guide books, binoculars & aqua viewers.

All other food and drinks are at your own cost.

What is your refund policy?

We will only cancel a trip should road, traffic or weather conditions render the trip unsafe or impossible. Cancelled trips will be refunded in full. We endeavor to cancel trips 24 hours ahead of time, but this is Africa so short-term cancellations can occur. Refunds are made via the same method in which we received the payment.

I've rented a car already, why should I take this trip when I can drive myself?

Good question! Dealing with traffic and winding roads can be taxing, particularly when on holiday. We'd recommend soaking up the views (and ignoring the traffic) from the passenger seat of our comfortable eco-vehicle.

What should I bring?

You should bring sun protection (hat, light long-sleeved shirt), comfortable shoes, a wind/rain jacket, swimming costume, and your water bottle :).

How big are the groups?

To keep things comfortable we aim for 8 Rockhoppers per vehicle although we can accommodate larger groups. Contact us for custom trips.

We do not have an age limit and encourage youngsters to come along. We do suggest children under the age of 16 are accompanied by an adult.

You can reschedule the date or time of your experience (or add or remove guests) within 24 hours of booking, and up to 72 hours before the experience is scheduled to start. If you reschedule an experience, the cancellation policy is based on the original purchase time and original start date of the experience. **We do not give refunds if you do not arrive or arrive after the vehicle has left.**
